How to make a QR code for a Google Form
- Open your form in Google Forms and click Send. Open the link tab and copy the link.
- Paste the link into the field above. Both docs.google.com/forms and forms.gle links work.
- Pick a style and add your logo if you like. Check the status under the preview.
- Download the code and add it to a poster, a slide, a flyer or a website.
Before you share the form
- Open the form in a private window to check that people without your account can fill it in.
- Put a short call to action next to the code, for example “Scan to answer in 2 minutes”.
- Print the code at least 3 cm (1.2 in) wide and test it with your phone before you print many copies.
Google Form QR code questions
Can I change the form later?
Editing the questions of your form is fine: the link stays the same. Pointing an existing code to a different form is coming soon. Until then, create a new code.
Do people need a Google account?
It depends on the form settings. If you allow anyone with the link to respond and do not require sign-in, no account is needed. Test it in a private window.
Which links can I use?
Any link of a form: the long docs.google.com/forms address or the short forms.gle address. Other links also work, the generator only shows a note.
Is the QR code free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. You can download PNG, SVG or PDF.
How do I know people can scan it?
The status under the preview checks contrast and the quiet zone. Then scan the downloaded file with your phone camera to be sure.
